Dear Family Members of Dr. Mel Carver,

I was a pt. of Dr.Carver's for many yrs.-also knew him as I was a nurse professional @ Holy Cross Hosp. I am so sorry for your loss. I knew him in the 1960's-70's-he was a very talented, vibrant man. Always a compassinate Dr. in his field of practice. I can still remember the beautiful paintings he had on the wall in his office. I still live very near his N.H. Ave. office & think of him each time I pass by. I know you are comforted by the knowledge that he lived "a rich, full life."
Sincerely, Audrey Carder-Thurman

Dear Carolyn, Andy, Shelley and families,
Today as I read the Washington Post I was saddened to read about the loss of Melvin. I am not sure how long it has been since any of us has had contact, only that it has been a very long time. Please know that I am sending thoughts and prayers to you all at this difficult time. I am still living in the Washington Metro area (No. VA) with my husband and children. I would love to hear from you when you are up to it. Take care and again, my deepest sympathies on your loss.
