MICHAEL PATRICK JACOBS (Age 51)
On Tuesday, February 8, 2022, of Chevy Chase, MD. Beloved husband of Allison Fox Jacobs; father of Patrick, Claire, Brendan, Jack, and son Kevin who died at birth in 2011; brother of Marty (Lara) and Tim Jacobs; son of the late Thomas and Jeanne Jacobs; also survived by a large and loving extended family. Relatives and friends may call at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 5949 Western Ave. NW, Washington, DC, on Monday, February 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 15 at 11 a.m. Interment Private. Memorial contributions may be made to Gonzaga College High School at www.gonzaga.org.

Our condolences to Allison, Patrick, Claire, Brendan, Jack, Marty, Tim and Lara. We knew Mike through my brother, Kevin. Mike always had a warm smile and word for us. My brother had the nicest things to say about Mike. He is missed by many.

Mike, we've known each other a few years and I remember these moments fondly. You first introduced yourself at the K1 dads breakfast, serving pancakes to new parents like me who were wandering the halls looking for the right classroom. We sat on some very very tiny kindergarten chairs and then talked about life. You shared your wisdom having raised wonderful children up and through middle school and you gave me much to look forward to. Thank you for making the time that day to help new parents find their way. Every kindergarten orientation should have a Mike. Over the next few years we'd exchange stories on the sidelines of flag football and soccer games. Some were from the past, like the lore of a particular local HS rugby team, and many stories were from the future - What are the kids learning this semester? How about that Caps prospect up in PA? What sports camps should we register the kids? You filled those around you with optimism. This past halloween you hosted us for pizza before we chased the boys around the neighborhood to chaperone, pretending like they needed to be kept out of any trouble. When we lost sight of em, you said to follow their laughter and it worked. You've been a source of joy, a good influence, a role model and friend to our family. Thank you for your kindness. We miss you.
