I knew Michael when I was very small, but I remember how he made me and my brother laugh. Evan, you are blessed to have had such a wonderful father, and now he is your guardian angel. I know my brother was there to greet him in Heaven. My thoughts are with you always.

My heart goes out to you, Patti. And Evan. We lost touch years ago, but I remember with much happiness and joy all the gatherings we had when the kids were small.. Yvonne and Walter had so much fun playing with Evan at all the picnics and parties. I will keep you both in my prayers and thoughts. And will remember Mike's wonderful sense of fun and adventure. A Tribute To Mike:
Farewell Dear Friend From This Ground
A Golden Haired Boy
From Hawaii
With Skin of Brown, Eyes of Blue
And A Smile to Light the Stars
Warm Summer Evenings
And Barn-top Parties
Strawberry Fields and Miles to Go
And Songs, And Radios
Alban Dancing
Mid Music Sweet and Low
Laughter, Tears and Passion
And Love and Fear of What We Did Not Know
A Tolling Bell –
The War is On, Hearts Are Pounding
Life on the Precipice
Is Youth Now Spent …
In Uniformed Grace
Before the Bouillon and Knox
Served the Troop Well
Doing Time – Lapse the Freedom Bell
Alas, The Door is Open
Fly Above the Tide, The Moon
Savor Youth, Sever Fear and None Too Soon
For Time is Ticking On
And What a Time It Was
Kuralt’s America
Across The Plains and Mountains and Rivers
Trekked those Seeking
As Simon Said, “They’ve All Gone to Look …”
Michigan, California, Colorado and More
His Eye Through the Camera; His Hand At the Pen
An Artist, Tho He Never Knew
Breathe Deep and Fill the Darkness Inside
Raise Arms and Lift Your Face
Embrace Freedom and Life
… But Let Tomorrow Stay
A Woman – His Woman
Their Son
And Canines, Many
Each a Member of Their Family
Who Drew Close at Christmas
Before the Fire
And Held Each Other in Tenderness
Mid the Storms of Life’s Lessons
Golden Hair Gives Way to Pewter
And Skin is Road Signs of Struggle, and Joy
And Life Has Challenged Most Strenuously
But, Never Gone is the Innocent Boy
Farewell, Dear Friend
From This Ground
Where We Once Stood Together
And Contemplated All of This
As Life’s Years Melt Away
And Youth Seems a Far Flung Tune
We Shall See Each Other Again
We Shall Meet Beyond the Tide and The Moon
. . . .

My deepest sympathies to Patti and Evan. My memories of Mike are filled with laughter. Especially when you think of the joy he brought others. Like the night of his bachelor's party when he treated his friends to his unique dancing style and mode of dress. My heart goes out to your Patti. We will all miss Michael's bright light!!!

Mike you and I grew apart after I moved to Key West. There was never a month that went by that I did not think of you, Pattie and Evan. You loved your son and wife soooo much, it always made me smile.
Pattie, if there is anything I can do for you and Evan just let me know. Pattie, having just lost my son, if you ever need to talk.
Mike, keep an eye on your family from above
