My heart was saddened for you and your family when I read about Mike´s passing in the Gonzaga news email. I was a pediatric nurse working at CPMC in New York when Mike was a resident. He was always caring, interested in his patients and showed empathy. I since moved to the DC area and raised 2 boys, both Gonzaga graduates, 2015,2019. I had no idea that Mike also went to Gonzaga but it makes perfect sense since he lived his life with a sense of purpose and a Man for Others. As a Gonzaga mom I appreciate your families contributions to help keep the school and its mission alive. My oldest is currently in medical school at Georgetown and he is interested in orthopedic surgery. My hope is that he keeps the Jesuit mantra AMDG throughout his career just like Mike was able to do. God bless you and your family and have a peaceful Easter. Patty Jaicks

Mike was a Great friend and talented physician who shared his knowledge freely. My deepest sympathies and prayers to his wife, Sarah, and their two children.
