Michael Nussbaum Obituary

MICHAEL NUSSBAUM
On Wednesday, October 5, 2011, MICHAEL NUSSBAUM of Washington, DC died peacefully in his home with friends and family at his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Gloria Weissberg and her daughters, Nina and Wesley. He is also survived by his brother Bernard Nussbaum and nephews Charles, Peter and Andrew. He was loved by his four grandchildren and eight grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011, 11: a.m. at Temple Micah, 2829 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington, DC. Interment will be on Monday, October 10, 2011, 2 p.m. at Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., NY. Shiva will be observed on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the home of Wesley in New York and on Tuesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with a service at 6 p.m. at the late residence. Visitors will be received on Wednesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. as well. Memorial contributions may be made to The University of Chicago Law School. Please note In Memory of Michael Nussbaum on the check. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. My father (Willie)worked for Mike and he always spoke very highly of him. Mike was such a good friend to my father during his last days on this earth and for that I will be forever grateful.

I am so sorry to hear that Michael passed away. I worked for Michael for many years in his law firm and was in awe of his intellect. He was also a very kind and funny man. What a loss. My deepest condolences to Gloria and his family.
