Michael Perryman

PERRYMAN MICHAEL NEAL PERRYMAN, 25 Theatrical Sound Designer A D.C. area theatrical sound designer and technician, died January 12, 2008 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital of complications from cystic fibrosis. Michael was born in Denver, Colorado and grew up in a military family that settled in Fairfax County, Virginia. He was a 2001 graduate of Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria, Virginia and also studied at Northern Virginia Community College. Michael began working as a sound technician while he was a student at Hayfield, and later worked as a sound designer for DC area theater companies. Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as an infant, Michael never let the disease dampen his dreams of becoming a sound designer on Broadway. A beloved “Doctor Who” fan, Michael also enjoyed theater, travel, mystery novels, and was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan. Survivors include his fiancC) and best friend Kendra Vasquez, her family and his parents Richard Neal and Mary Jo Perryman, of Alexandria, Virginia. Also survived by his grandparents, Joseph and Harriet Fox, of Janesville, MN and a host of other family members. A Memorial Service is planned for February 23, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at The Waterford, 6715 Commerce Street, Springfield, Virginia. Please RSVP.
