How can 35 years of friendship be put into words? Mike Smith was my friend. A friend that was always there. A friend that would always listen. A friend that cared and loved. A friend that will be missed. The World has lost a special person. Someone that always made the day a bit brighter. Someone who valued life and lived. It is impossible for me to put down all the things that Mike meant to me. I will always remember him and how much his friendship influenced my life. I would not be the person I am today if it were not for Michael Leeman Smith. You are shaped by the people in your life. The influence of friends makes each one of us into the people we are. I am thankful to God above for the time I had and the lessons learned. Go forth and make someone smile today. Make them smile for Mike. All of us were blessed to have had him in our lives. Feel the sorrow and cry the tears but, take time to laugh. Mike could always find humor in the worst situations. That is one of the many things I shall miss.
