Mary, my deepest condolences cannot convey my sense of loss. Mike was my most significant mentor in the tax law. He encouraged intellectual rigor, practical insight, thoroughness and integrity. Mike's wonderful sense of humor, his engaging smile and twinkling eyes always made him accessible. When I worked with Mike 30 years ago, I was impressed by his deep concern for others, especially the oppressed Ukrainian people. His paintings show his appreciation for detail in life and creation, in both nature and architecture. Mike was a man to emulate. I was so grateful to know him.

Great Uncle Mike,
How fortunate we are to have been blessed with you in our family. All families should be so lucky. We will always remember your stories with a smile. Although your time with your great, great niece Gianna was brief, she will grow up knowing what a wonderful man you are. You truely put the "great" in Great Uncle. We love you always

My great Uncle Mike passed away and left a hugh void in many people's hearts. He was truly an incredible man and inspiration to those who were lucky enough to know him. You will be greatly missed.
