Sad to hear about Myra's death. We had some nice times in the neighborhood with our pooches. Myra's Yorkie Monty stayed over a few times to play with my dogs, Percy and Morris.

I was sorry to hear of the passing Myra (nee Brown) Sampler. Although I have not seen nor spoken with Myra for many years, I fondly remember our days as students at Howard University. I am sure that Myra will be missed by her loved ones and those of us who can smile at the thought of our student days with Myra. Rest in Peace, Myra and Godspeed.

Logan, I am sorry that I could not make it today with Vonnie and Shavon. Your mom was my sister's best friend, I'm sure you know. I will always remember her being a "rock" for our family when my mom passed several years ago. That is just the kind of supportive person she was. Please know that we will always be here to support you too. We love you. Stay as strong as you can...

Give me the patience that I need
To keep my piece of mind,
And with life’s cares, I hope, Dear God,
Some happiness to find.
Give me the courage to face life`s trials
and not to from troubles run.
let me keep this thought in mind.
“Thy Will,” not “Mine,” be done.

Dear Logan & Family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I have such fond memories of Soror Myra when we worked on a few committees together. Her ability to make you laugh and just enjoy what you're doing (in spite of yourself) was her gift to me and I will always remember her for it. I'm sorry I can't be with you and your family tomorrow, but please know that you are in my prayers. -- God Bless.

I only knew Myra for a few years. But, like many of my colleagues at Westat I was so intrigued at her friendly disposition and her positive outlook--Always there with a smile to share and a hug to give.
She always seemed to press me to get more out of life. Such things as going to Glen Echo for line dancing or encouraging me to take a hot air balloon. Doing things that allow you to step back and appreciate the other good side of this life that we often forget does exist.
I hope her spirit keeps encouraging me to enjoy living more. For we are only here for a little while.
