David told me how Eddie Yost (the Washington Senators third baseman) coached David on how to throw out the runner at first. I shared that advice with my grandson, Harry, who almost knocked out the first baseman with a speeding bullet throw. But my grandson really impressed his coach.

David will be missed by all who knew him.

My family moved to D.C. from Wisconsin for about 3 years. My father worked for the government, I attended Shepherd Park Elementary School from 4th grade thru 6th grade. David was in my class. He was a nice boy and a friend. And I am sure he grew up to be a good man. With sympathy to his family.
