I have so many happy memories of Nancy from the old Capitol Hill days. Listening to her story of how she beat off some guy with her umbrella during the year long around the world honeymoon with Ken. Taking out children to the DC children's museum. Later going to the pool in Garrett Park. Rest In Peace old friend.

I was so sorry to learn of Nancy's death. We worked together on What Style Is It? when I was with the Preservation Press. It was one of our most popular books and the instigation for a series of books we started on related architectural subjects. My condolences to her family.

What an interesting life Ms. Schwartz led with her many contributions to architectural preservation, locally and nationwide. What Style Is It? is such a classic. I was happy to learn more about its author, although I wish under happier circumstances. My sincere condolences to her family.
