Dear Ella, I remember the love you showed when you told your water aerobics students about meeting your husband, and dancing on a cruise in the South Pacific. My condolences.

Neal loved life and people. He was devoted to Ella and his two sons. When I joined his law firm in 1978, he was friendly and warm. He loved running and biking. He was very international in his perspective and love of culture. He had a brilliant mind for real estate and investments. He was a generous and kind man. He loved Washington. He was in some ways like a little boy: curious, a sense of humor, active, and striving to learn and make life better for all. His spirit will remain with me. It was an honor and privilege to be his colleague and friend. My deepest condolences to Ella, his sons, and the rest of the family.
