NETTIE F. JOPPICH, age 77, died on April 17, 2007 at her home in Sterling, VA. She was born on June 13, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Pasquale and Antonina Dato. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to Fred W. Joppich, loving and devoted mother of Patricia (G. Randolph) Mook of Sterling, VA, William (Catherine) Joppich of Roanoke, VA, Nanette (Robert) Stevens of South Burlington, VT and James (Margaret) Joppich of Herndon, VA, sister of Frances Steingroewer of Bethlehem, PA and the late Rosario Dato, proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren. Nettie was an avid caregiver and role model who dedicated her life to her family. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 20th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at ADAMS-GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree St., Herndon, VA. Interment will immediately follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, VA. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Nettie Joppich Fund for Clinical Education for the Cancer Uunit at INOVA Loudoun Hospital, 44035 Riverside Pwy, Suite 420, Leesburg, VA 20176 or Capital Hospice, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Suite 501, Falls Church, VA 22042.

I remember Mrs. Joppich from the time the Joppich family lived in Bennington. Her youngest son James and I were friends at that time.
