NICOLA TRANCHITELLA
On August 4, 2017, NICOLA TRANCHITELLA. Adoring husband of Willa Jean (nee Vanatta); loving father of Christopher L. Tranchitella, Kimberlyn Madden (Patrick), Karen Tasto (Joseph), Lynda Turner (Andrew), and the late Andrea Janine Fields; cherished grandfather of 11; and dear brother of Catherine Daugherty and the late Vincent.The family will receive friends at HARRY H. WITZKE'S FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD on Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Louis Catholic Church, Clarksville, MD on Wednesday, 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Louis Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. www.harrywitzkefuneralhome.com

Dear Willa and family,
I can only imagine how you all feel. But please suffice it to know that your husband and father and grandfather was one of the most honorable men I've ever met. He was kind, decent, slow to anger and quick to smile. But most important of all he was a good, loyal, patriotic American and friend.
While we all know how much you and your family will miss him. Please know that there are hundreds of people who will miss him as much. No one will ever convince me that he touched any life in a negative way. I am grateful to have known him and called him a friend.

I am sorry to learn of Nick's passing. Nick and I were very close friends all through elementary through high school. We used to walk to school together andkept in touch by email. My deepest sympathy to the family.
