Norman Danis Obituary
Norman was born February 13, 1938, in Washington, DC, to Norman, Sr., and Ann Sutay Danis. He grew up in Brookmont and graduated from Holy Trinity School in 1951, Archbishop Carroll High School in 1955, Catholic University in 1960 (B.A.), and the University of Maryland in 1967 (M.A.).
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sisters and brothers-in-law Norma and Val Spiegel, Barbara and Frank Quinn, and Sara and Lou Nolan. Norman is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jan; his sons John (Alexis), Thomas (Brenna Folkman), and Robert (Stephanie Staub); his grandchildren Theodore and Sarah; and his dedicated caregivers Pamela Howard and Mariela Cadet.
Family will receive friends at Pumphrey's Funeral Home, 7557 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda, MD, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 22. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Monday, December 23, at the Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Ave., Bethesda. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the American Red Cross.

My late husband Bob Benson and Norm were dedicated Boy Scout leaders in Bethesda for many years. They were good friends, camping and hunting together. Norm was so kind to our family when Bob passed away in 2015. Go in peace, Norm
