Cousin Vontia A. Onley

March 17, 2022

I wanted to just share something! I remember hearing Aunt FIFI say Olando wanted to know why the family wasn´t as close and they were before he left! Olando goal was to also bring all the family back as close as we all were when he grew up! I believe that he done it! I haven´t hung out with my cousin Toney, V´onica and her children since Aunt Maryland passing but I haven´t seen toney since over 20 yrs, and I have spoken to V´onica more this week then in years! I have now been to her house twice this week and even met up with her dad, son and friend of the family to scatter some of Olando ashes in the Potomac waters with best wishes and prayers to send him off to the next chapter in his life in paradise! We did it near where he grew up and then while praying we heard strong water wave coming near shore during our closing prayers! When we turned around after praying the water began to be calm again, then we can see clearly through the water the places we sprinkle the ashes one person at a times with warm and loving words! We saw his ashes clear white spots in a pattern of foot steps as the sun set so beautifully and peaceful! I have been seeing more of dad´s family than I have seen in years! My uncle Navarro said I know it´s late but do anyone want to eat pizza lol and we all said he´s always trying to feed someone! I asked him for another obituary to send to my family in Florida and he said if I had time could I meet him at his home! I met him there as soon as I walk in he was pointing at the table so I assumed he was trying to tell me that the extra obituaries were there so I said I don´t see them... he said what´s wrong with you lol! I´m talking about the box of apple turn overs, he said eat some! I said I don´t eat juke food but I wouldn´t mind taking one today, then he started pointing at the corner saying go get some water bottles I have a lot lol.. so I got the water bottle to please him and I decided to grab a fruit V8 energy drink he said hey don´t take those there not good ! I said why he said there expired! I said well how long have you had them and he said they were your Aunt Maryland´s and I said from 6 yrs ago he said yup April 20th lol so he said they just discovered the new cases of them in storage in a closet! Well I offered to visit on the weekend when his family comes to visit he said sure we cook alot of food then I have to give it away!

So I say all this to say Olando´s plan is working even though he´s transition home to paradise we are seeing each other and communicating with one another more even though V´onica, our cousins here and our cousins in Florida were communicating in a group chat and were sharing photos etc from time to time! Now we´re actually seeing each and talking on the phone isn´t that powerful and I would like to thank Olando for making it possible we must keep in touch because life is too short Olando, Charisse and I are all the same age and we grew up together so there are great memories and we look good for our age anyway, that´s a blessing we all were able to communicate with Olando while he was still here since he came home Always! your still making powerful moves in heaven! Such a angel!

My deepest sympathy to Uncle Navarra, cousin Voneka and Charmaign and to all who held in their arms and heart. I loved my sweet cousin and miss him so much. Although its been decades since I saw him we spent summers together as teenagers that were some the best memories of my childhood as my cousins were my best friends. Olando was so charming and handsome and so funny and smart. We could talk for hours sitting on my Aunt Fi Fi's or Granda White steps just about anything as we had so much in common. He was sincere , caring and kind hearted. He could always make anyone smile as he had honest eyes that looked into your soul and never made you feel uncomfortable. Even the few times I visited him in jail he made me feel that he was ok and that he would make something so hard as seeing in jail still a good time. I wish I had made more of the time to catch up after he got out as I only saw him on Facetime at Thanksgiving. Since I live in South Florida, I live so far from the people I love the most. I miss all my family as I miss Olando. You will live forever in my heart and will always be on my mind. I love you my sweet and brillant cousin, Olando. I know you will be here watching over us with Grandma and Aunt Maryland who I also love and miss so much.

I was delighted when he came to my home and finally meet my children and granddaughter and my children said this is the cousin that my mom has always bragged and talked about growing up they were finally happy to meet my cousin and i flew our Uncle Munwell aka Unlce money out and he was at my house when Olando showed up to visit my home and children we took pictures laugh and he was so happy to see uncle money, my brother Money @nd who fell into the same situation on his his 20th bday, and I was so happy to see my cousin I cried of joy he told me he was working, driving etc This was was the first week of Sept. 2021! he was supposed to go to my sister LaShawn house on 9/6/2021 for a cookout and he didn't make but I texted him for the holidays and he would always say in real life cuzzo! he was so smart and a great spirit I loved his smile happiness he was talkative unlike when we were little he was just a quite handsome little boy but smart! My children, siblings, and I was so sadden hear his journey was cut short so soon he had a mission to complete and I believe GOD felt his he has done enough and he need him home to handle a new chapter in heavenly new life full of great duties they have for a angel like him! I have purchased a tree to be planted in the Forest as memorial of my beloved first cousin O'lando who was like a brother to me! I LOVE YOU AND I'LL MISS YOU ALWAYS! REST IN PEACE AND POWER!
