Patricia Demme Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia (Pat) Theresa O'Prey Demme. Pat passed away on February 2, 2025; surrounded by family and friends. She lived a remarkable life through her 85 years and will be sorely missed by all.

Patricia is survived: By her brothers; Micheal O'Prey (Fennie O'Prey) and Terrence O'Prey (Anne O'Prey), and her nephew Terrence O'Prey Jr. and nieces Erin O'Prey and Debbie Quilleon. She also leaves behind her beloved husband Robert "Bob" Demme of 60 years. Together, they built a life they loved, leaving us with many cherished memories.

Patricia was the proud mother of six children: Nancy Demme, Cynthia Chambers (Richard Chambers), Sean Demme (Erika Demme), Kristina Demme, Tracy Mitchell (Bobby Mitchell), and Maureen O'Prey (Christopher Limon). She was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Amber Sparling (Kyle Sparling), Paige O'Prey, Nicholas Demme, Shannon Mitchell, Nicole Baker (Ryan Baker) and Kyle Mitchell, and a wonderful GG to five great grandchildren: Reagan Sparling, Mackenzie Sparling, Tyler Sparling, Tanner Baker and Hailey Sparling.

Everyone who knew Pat knew she loved the outdoors from the mountains to the ocean. She was a scout leader, a den mother, and a softball coach/player. She enjoyed hiking, water skiing, spending time on the beach and she was most at peace sailing on the Chesapeake Bay in the "The Golden Dream", her boat.

Among many things, Pat was a clinical psychologist, crisis counselor, instructor, and volunteer. Pat was our champion and our advocate, and she will be missed by all. The family will be planning a Celebration of Life in her honor in Spring 2025.
