Patrick Anthony Schaeffer

On April 10, 2024, Patrick Anthony "Tony" Schaeffer, was called home to glory. He was a good and loving father to many who fondly called him "Pops". Tony was the beloved and doting husband of Margaret Okoroji-Schaeffer for 23 years; father of Nicholas and Gabriel Schaeffer, Joshua and Isaiah Okoroji-Schaeffer; brother of Michael Schaeffer, Pamela Sandler, and the late Paul Schaeffer. Tony was passionate about family, kind hearted, generous, and a loyal friend. Above all, he loved Jesus Christ. Family and friends are invited to a Service of Songs on Thursday, June 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Friendship Community Baptist Church, 37 Jewell Rd., Dunkirk, MD. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 11:30 a.m. at Friendship Community Baptist Church. Interment is private. Please let the family know if you will be attending the Saturday service so that they may get an accurate head count for catering services.
