PAUL KIRTON Obituary
PAUL KIRTON (Age 80)
Departed this life on Thursday, November 1, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Iva Kirton. Paul Kirton was an attorney advisor who worked for the Department of the Interior in the Office of the Solicitor for over 50 years. His expertise in Alaska specific laws and public land laws garnered him much attention. His passion for law was recognized by his many friends and colleagues all over the United States. He had no plans to retire from a job he loved. He served under 15 Secretaries of the Department of the Interior and 18 Solicitors. Paul had a joke for every occasion and left you laughing at the end of every phone call. On Wednesday, November 7, viewing will be held from Noon to 1 p.m. and funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA. Interment Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Dear Paul, After 80 years of courageously and creatively dealing with adversity, you are now due for your reward. I trust that St. Peter greeted you with, "well done, good and faithful servant." Your passing is a great loss to your family, friends, and me, especially. But I have hope of meeting you again when I, too, "cross over the bar." Love to you, Iva, your sons and their families.
