Edna,

I wanted to wait for this day, because you always would say "Happy Birthday" to me and always wanted to go out and celebrate. This time it's on me to you, Happy Birthday now your celebrating. You know we go way back. I was a small fry to you (younger "okay" by one year) starting at Jr High School. I followed you and then you left me. Yes, I was a tag along. Then to High School I followed you and you left me again. You graduated and disappeared then the next thing I knew that you were in Church. When I got there your were all ready there. Then we became sisters, in the Lord, You had became a sister-in-law, aunt had nieces and nephews. We did alot of family things together. You've touched so many lives. I could write a book, but I won't those are my happy moments with you. I realized why I was a tag along. Because your a good leadership. Okay, now do you think by any chance it's over! You often would say to me the race is not given to the swift nor the strong but to the one who endures to the end, don't think for a moment that you left me, guess what I'm still FOLLOWING you.

Please don't forget me! Your Sister,

Jeanna-Bean! (no, one can say it like you).

I Love you, Love you, Love you!

Your sister in the Lord.

Jean.

I know that we didn't really get the chance to know one anonther very well, but the few times we met it gave me great strength to fight this fight a little harder. I found out that you were a great woman of God and I too want to walk in your footsteps. Look for me one day...! Love Yolanda

Edna

I fell in love with you many years ago, we shared good times and bad times the good outnumber the bad. I was so sorry to lose my dear sister, and my dear friend. I know you are in a better place up in Heaven with all the good people. Please remember when you look down on us that we loved you dearly, and I miss you more with every passing day. Dearest Edna,

A true pearl that never lost your shine, your beauty stays devine. Now that you are in the masters arms, your light will shine through to us. I feel you in my heart, and I know the family does too. You always wanted the best for me, you offered me a place, when I was acting too grown. Your loved endured through even until the end. Your earthly reign has ended, but your life is just begining. I cherish the lunch we had in January, us ordering the same dish. You enjoyed it and it was to spicy for me. However, the greatest moment was to be with you. I love you Edna, and will continue to strive for the crown, you have obtained. I saw so many lives you touched and my heart was so moved. You are a rare jewel, a PEARL that shines all the way through!

Love ya,

Kiana

Edna, we shared some great times together. We hung out together, met a lot of people, cried together. I am going to miss you girl, Oh Butler, my buddy.

I am glad I was able to come see you just before you left us, I sang songs to you, "Yes, Jesus Loves Me", and "May God Be With You Until We Meet Again". We will meet again very soon. I did not realize it would be the last time I would see you or sing to you. I remember you saying just before your surgery that you did not think you would make it back home. I told you that everything would be alright, well it is alright now. You are resting in the arms of Jesus, no greater place to be. Keep looking for me buddy, I'll be there soon. I will miss you as we build the new church and journey on, but I know you will be there with us in spirit, cheering us on as we march around the new building. I will always love you Butler, my buddy, my pal. You are now living the song I use to sing. "We'll Go Sweeping Through That City", no more pain, nothing but joy. I am happy for you but will miss that loud joyful laughter of yours (smile).

Love you so much, Joyce

If you're reading this, then you know me. My aunt was the best there ever was. I love her with all my heart and it feels empty without her here. But, I know that she is rejoicing and that no matter how I feel, she wouldn't want to return here. Thank God she made it, and she doesn't have to suffer anymore.

I never knew what it was like to watch a loved one deteriorate before my eyes. She endured hardness as a good soldier, stubborn, but good. Aunt Edna I miss you and will forever remember your kindness and love toward me. There never was a better auntie. Hope you miss me too...Love Nikki.

To my beloved sister:

I know that you are in heaven looking down and standing in the gap for us. I also know that you are putting up reserved signs on the mansions and you have mine right next to yours.

To the family:

Thank God that Edna is no longer in pain and has reached her goal. She is in heaven shouting with the angels and waiting for us to fall asleep. Love ya!

To my family, my heartfelt prayers are with you all. Edna was more than a cousin to me. We were best of friends. I'm so glad I had an opportunity to share time with her at the beach, just before she had surgery. Who would have known it would have been our last vacation together. I'm going to miss her terribly, but I can rest assured she's with Jesus now.
