On Tuesday, March 15, 2005 of Washington, DC. Beloved husband of the late Mary C. Chaconas; father of Theodore S. (Leslie Highley) Chaconas and Mary Ann Chaconas; brother of Angela Spiridopoulos and Gus Chaconas; grandfather of Mark Chaconas, Edward Chaconas, Mary Theresa Fodel and Kristen Highley. Also survived by eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Marcus, Bob and Paul Chaconas; and sister, Demetra. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 10:30 a.m. at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 36th & Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, DC 20007. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Frosene Education Center of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

We will miss you Uncle Pete. I will never forget how much fun it was to come to Georgetown for family parties. I was always so excited to run up those steps and see you and all the family. Maybe we will all be together in Heaven some day for a family reunion.
