I considered Pete to be a good friend in school. He had a great sense of humor and almost always had a smile for his classmates. I remember one lunch period we were waiting in line in the classroom for our turn for the lunch room (supposedly silently) with Pete first in line at the classroom door. Br. Martin, the Asst Principal, appeared at the door and observed students cutting up at the back of the line. Those in the middle could see all this. Br. Martin stared first at the cut-ups then up at Pete. Then he hit Pete and said, Tell them to be quiet! The room erupted in laughter as all Pete could do was raise his hands in helpless supplication to the room.
I also remember being hosted by his folks after graduation for a small party. Pete gave a demonstration of his ability at piano improvisation. A great talent!
We all miss him and remember him in prayer.

Paula, Though we never met, Pete was a dear friend in High School. Was at his house right after graduation for a party. He played a mean piano! Had lunch him and Mike Vanech while I was still working. He will be in my prayers as will your family. Sincerely, Ralph Burr
