PETER MILONE Obituary


MILONE PETER A. MILONE (Age 91) Peter A. Milone of Arlington, VA, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Virginia Hospital Center. He was, and forever shall remain, the loving husband of the late Bergliot Tulla Milone, devoted father of Peter Jr., Steven, Paul and Gregory; father-in-law of Linda, Patricia and Consuelo; and cherished grandfather of Max, Oliver, Peter Oskar, Siena, Niko and Tori. Born to Pietro and Giulia Milone in East Orange New Jersey, Peter attended East Orange High School and Seton Hall University where he was an honor student and an All American fencer with a record of 127 wins and 5 losses. In 1986, he was inducted into the Seton Hall Athletic Hall of Fame. Peter served honorably in the European theatre during World War II with the US Army (310th) Signal Corp. Upon his return to the states he lived in Livingston New Jersey where he became a successful business executive in international trade and marketing. Along with several executives, Peter helped engineer the successful acquisition of the American Safety Razor division of Philip Morris moving the company headquarters to Virginia. It is there that Peter spent the past 30 years enjoying life with his beloved Tulla and pursuing his vast interests in business, music, sports, and family. Relatives and friends are invited to Peter's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Sunday, August 5 from 3 to 6 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the King of Kings Lutheran Church, 4025 Kings Way, Fairfax, VA 22033 on Monday, August 6 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery.
