Peter Moore Obituary
PETER WINANT MARCELLUS MOORE
Peter Winant Marcellus Moore of Lanham, MD passed away on April 1, 2023. Born in Grenoble, France, he was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Douglas E. Moore, and Daisy P. Moore. He is survived by siblings Douglas Moore, Daisy Moore (Robert Johnson), and Debessa Moore. He graduated from McKinley Tech High School and North Carolina Central University. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and saw active duty. He worked in the D.C. Court System and retired in 2021 after a long career. He was known for his hospitality. He was gracious and generous to friends and strangers. The funeral service will be held on April 15 at Advent Funeral Service - Lanham, 9013 Annapolis Rd. in Lanham, MD. Viewing between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., service to follow, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Bro Pete you will be missed. From our days hanging in school, riding motorcycles together, to joining Latin Connection (boxing) together. You, me, Alvin (Johnson), Jeff (Billingslea) will always be the childhood NE crew. Those times will live forever and so will the fond memories. Rest in Peace bro!!

My deepest condolences and prayers for the Moore family. Pete is my best friend and godfather to my boys, DéJuan Houston and KyRon Cole-Jackson. He was always ready for fun with friends and family. I will miss our pool party celebrations. Will miss his smile, and beautiful personality. Will miss my best friend.
