Maxine and family: I am so deeply saddened by the passing of Peter. I am even more saddened that I was unable to be there for his funeral due to the late notice I received and the distance from home. Peter was the finest gentleman I have ever known. He was a mentor,a friend, and a great American. He was a West Pointer who made the rest of the Long Gray Line stand proud to stand alongside of him. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Peter:
My deepest sympathy...he was such an inspiration to me with his kind words and encouragement particularly for my sons, Norman and Robert, who were also West Point graduates. He was truly a role model for all who want to serve their country and be proud of their heritage. God bless his soul.

Dear Peter,
I am very sorry about your uncle's death. I met him on more than one occasion and was always left with a good feeling. He was truly charismatic. We will say a prayer for his soul.
