PETER J. WALSH (Age 73)
Of Annadale, VA died January 12, 2011. Beloved husband of Dianne Walsh, father of Maureen Hunt (Tex), Kelly Lutz (Chris), Kathleen Stead, and the late Jerry Walsh (Julia), 12 grandchildren, sisters Eileen Ludwig (Bob), Dorothy Walsh, Kay Barrett and the late Ann Walsh. Family and friends may call at the FAIRFAX MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA on Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michaels Church, 7401 St. Michael's Lane, Annandale, VA on Monday, January 17 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery on Thursday, January 20 at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Walsh Family Education Trust, C/O Cardinal Bank, 13870 Smoketown Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192.www.fmfh.com

Dianne, I was surprised and deeply saddened to learn of PJ's passing. We were friends from kindergarten through graduation and spent many hours on the various ball fields and sandlots of South Scranton. I will miss him and will always remember his wonderful smile. To the family of Peter Walsh, our sincere smypathies; our hearts break to hear of his passing and the lost of the kids poppie whom they so dearly loved. may god find the way to give you peace in the upcoming days. Although our knowing him was brief and threw kathleen and her children whom we dearly care so much for; we were honor to meet this familyand found his grandson to resemble his poppie so much.our prayers go out to his dear wife and the whole family. I offer prayers for strength for the family of Peter. I retired from EIA in the early 90s and came to know Pete as a fine man and a very nice individual.

It doesn't seem possible that that "kid" I rescued from Statistics is gone. I have so many memories of working and traveling with him and with you. Ann joins me in our sympathy to you and your family.

Dianne, please accept my deepest sympathies in the loss of Pete. Pete (and Judy) contributed so much to the employee and person I've become. They practically raised me at EIA/ECA! Since I've been gone from ECA, I've often wondered how you guys were doing. You guys were both such wonderful mentors and just a joy to be around. I pray that you are able to find some peace during this hard time.
