Phil was an interesting guy. He used to Purim treats to my father and myself. He and Rabbi Levy both put mazzaus at our house, few minutes after my wife and I got married.

Phil and I were study partners and friends. In 2020, when the world first shut down, we had our Seders together. Besides being a scholar, he had a number of skills. Whether he learned it at Boyscouts or elsewhere, Phil was excellent at making knots. This came in handy when we had to move a piece of furniture. I have very good memories of Phil and his soul should make an aliyah. Ken Klein

Although I had not seen him recently as I live in Israel ,Phil was a good friend . We often had conversations about Judaism and life and his perspectives were always interesting and somewhat unique .I was very sorry to hear of his passing . I will miss him . Yitzchak Breitowitz ,Jerusalem

I remember Phil! He signed a Catuba in Hebrew at my wedding on November 2006.
