My Dad was a mentor and inspired me to aim high w/my goals, he instilled in me integrity, and to roll up my sleeves and tackle anything that came my way(this part he did mostly by example) He is oh so far , but yet so close in heart and spirit. I will see u there Dad. While the pain of not having him here to talk to and see is very deep, for now my earthly father is @ peace w/ my heavenly father and with that I find great comfort.

Dear Family,
Phil and I were classmates at Groveton High. I often wondered where he lived and I had no idea that he lived so close to Alexandria. After my mother and father passed away I moved into their home on Benson Drive in Alexandria.
My thoughts and prays are with you during this sad time.

Dear Shirley, Dan, Deb, Matt, Dave...I feel your loss and am heartbroken that we don't have your dad here with us anymore. I will miss him with all my heart, what is left of it. With each one we lose we recognize how fragile life is and how small our time as a family is together and we grow closer. Is this a small part of God's plan, that we lose so much yet gain so much? Your dad found a way to share himself with us in a unique and fun way. I loved that we could take a moment from our busy day, even right in the middle of our chaos and check in on the family and share our feelings. He really brought us all together. You should be really proud of that and the fact that under that big appearingly shy guy IS a man who has a big heart, positive outlook on life and was always thinking of others during his final journey. This man I came to know, like my dad was so much of a comfort to me during my times of sorrow and times of life challenges. I will always be thankful for that and for the opportunity to try and return the love that he provided to us all.
