Of Spring Hill, FL, formerly of Washington, DC died on Saturday, August 9, 2003 at his residence. He was born on August 30, 1936 in Washington, DC, a son of Lennie L. and Gladys Estelle (Kidwell) Edwards. His parents, preceded him in death. Raymond was a pilot with Piedmont Commercial Airlines and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force, a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, #521 of Spring Hill, FL and the American Legion of Arlington, VA. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Martinko) Edwards of Spring Hill, FL; his daughter, Lisa Edwards of Bradenton, FL; his brother, Donald Edwards of Austin, TX. Visitation will be held in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday, August 15 until 10 a.m., when a service will be held in the funeral home with Fr. Kenneth Zaccagnini, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Macrina Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded by the Amvets Post 104 of Hopwood, PA.
