On Thursday, December 22, 2011. Survived by a daughter, Danielle L. Rollins; a son, Brandon M. Butler; other relatives and friends. Mrs. Butler may be viewed at Stewart Funeral Home, 4001 Benning Rd., NE, Friday, December 30 from 12 noon until services at 1 p.m.

A bright candle is no longer visible in this realm but the light she spread still lingers. I will miss her physical presence but she always has and always will hold a special place in my heart.

BJ Brought so much to our internet circle of friends.She shared much of herself in a unconditional way. Danielle ,Brandon & Family May The Lord Comfort you in this time of sorrow but know that Renee is with The Lord & Her Suffering is over, so fret not... & Rejoice! and pray that we will see her again ...I thank God for sharing BJ with us ..She may be gone in body But she will always be with us in Spirit. Sad to know you are gone and will be missed....You are home now at peace and no pain and no worries, there is no other better place to be. You were a prime example of the goodness of the Lord. I have no doubt that you said as you left this place it is well with my soul....Im home father forever with you in glory.....See you at the pearly gates someday. Renee will not only be missed by you, but so many of her friends including myself both online through the various social sites she was a member of and those in real time. We knew she struggled each day to have one more day. She will be missed.

I didn't know BJ but being a member of The Funk Train now The Funk Train Grooves on Facebook, there was such an outpouring of love when she passed. When someone can impact the lives of others as BJ did I feel she was indeed a beautiful person. Heaven has gained another angel and those that knew and loved her will keep precious memories of her in their heart. (Sheila J. Newark, NJ)

Danielle and Brandon, I was hurt and sadden to hear about your mom. She gave her all in this battle and now she is resting peacefully in God's Kingdom. The days spent with Renee at Macfarland will forever be in my heart. I will truly miss my friend.
