RICHARD S. POMERANTZ
On Saturday, December 13, 2014, RICHARD S. POMERANTZ of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Phyllis Pomerantz; loving father of Ellen (Fred) Gortler, Susan (Andrew) Simpson and Cheryl (Gary) Engleman; dear brother of Dr. Ronald (Hannahlee) and Arthur Pomerantz. Also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, 1:30 p.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens Chapel, Olney, MD. Shiva to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 202-541-1001

This was most unwelcome news. Mary Margaret Burke sent the obituary to me. Needless to say, my condolences and prayers for solace are with all of you. I remember handsome Richard fondly. Special thoughts and wishes to Ronnie and Hannalee and Arthur.
