RICHARD EDGAR SCHNEIDER

Richard Edgar Schneider, 84, of Clifton, Virginia, died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, February 26, 2023 after a battle with Alzheimers. He is survived by Lydia, his wife of 57 years; and his children Richard, Jr., Cynthia, Stephen, Pamela and Maria. Born in Auburn, New York, Richard earned a bachelor's degree from Villanova, and a PhD from George Mason University. A skilled engineer with a keen and curious mind, he worked as a federal contractor, enjoyed adjunct teaching at several Virginia universities, and pursued lifelong obsessions with genealogical research and histories of American presidents. A wake will be held at the Money & King Funeral Home, 171 West Maple Ave., Vienna, VA. On Friday, March 3, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 4 at 12 Noon at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6720 Union Mill Rd., Clifton, VA. Interment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park. The online guestbook is available
