I´m so sorry to hear of Dick´s passing. He was a roommate of my brother, Cary Jackson, at Trinity and was a.delightful guest at our wedding in 1972 giving a most amusing recitation of one of his favorite poems about the very special endowments of a Mrs. Isaac Rice!!! We have lost track of the poem but remember the gist of it well and the laughter it brought to the moment. We also remember one misty Saturday morning when we got a call from Dick saying he would love to come to lunch as he was going to take a bike ride through Rock Creek Park and would be nearby our house in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
He arrived a couple of hours later fully armed including a heavy chain which he showed us how to use against would be attackers. Dick was full of surprises, great stories, wonderful friendship and considerable mystery! We lost track of him when we moved to California but never lost our great affection for him. May he rest in peace and our love to his families.
