Richard Stewart Obituary

Richard Henry "Buzz" Stewart, Jr., was born to Richard H. Stewart and Rachel Posey on May 5, 1934 in Gaithersburg, MD. He died peacefully and surrounded by love on July 21, 2025.

He was a lifetime member of Goshen United Methodist Church and proud Mason for nearly 50 years, a member of Pythagoras Lodge No. 74. Buzz was He employed for 37 years at the National Institute of Health before his in 1989.

Buzz is survived by his son The Rev. Dr. Malcolm Frazier, grandchildren Nicole Bayles (Ed), Caroline Childs (George), great grandchildren, Lola, Connor, Ethan, Luci, William, devoted friend Yvonne Trice as well as many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife Edith Stewart and son Richard Steveson. He will be remembered as sharp dressed, generous and always with a smile on his face.

Visitation July 28 10 a.m.; 11 a.m. funeral at Goshen United Methodist Church, Gaithersburg, MD.
