Richard you were a good husband to my sister and a great father to my nieces and an excellent uncle to all of the kids. You were a teddy bear in a big burly body. You were a great brother-in-law and son-in law and friend. I'll never forget you. Love, (Hey Dan)

Maria and I extend our deep sympathy to Richard's family and loved one's . We both knew Richie well , in our day's in Bridgeport ,before leaving for Texas so many years ago . Seaside Park , the Kingsmen , Kenny's place on Sheridan St. among the many fond memories we have of the old "'Port" , (as Goerge Rich would call it) , and Richie was a part of those wonderful times . It was nice to have had recent contact with our old friend and we were so happy to know he had made a good life for himself with a loving family . We know that the Lord had blessed Richard with a wife he loved and a daughter that filled his heart with great joy . That gives Ria and I joy also and our prayers are with his family as you endure this loss . " To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord " and there is where he will await his loved ones , with the Lord . May God bless the Ward family and bring you peace , strength and comfort through His son Jesus Christ through whom all things are possible .
