Richard Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS RICHARD DUDLEY WILLIAMS, SR. Richard Dudley Williams, Sr., 83, born in Paducah, Kentucky on March 11, 1926, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning of November 4, 2009 at his home in Silver Spring, Maryland. Navy veteran of WWII, at the Battle of Midway. Served 30 years in Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, Deputy Director in Washington, D. C. University of Illinois Graduate. Beloved husband of 53 years to the late Ethel Mae Hawkins (1928 - 2001). Survived by six children; Richard, Jr., Saundra, Cheryl, Marva, Fern, Alkemii; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles L. Williams. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. at Horton "s Funeral Service, 600 Kennedy St, NW., Washington, DC 20011.
