Dear Mrs. Clark,

I'm sorry for your loss at this time. I didn't know Bob except from the TV, but I remember you and have for over fifty years told people that you were my favorite teacher. Only tonight, in finding this page, did I learn your first name, Ruth. Thank you for all you did for me, and I'm forever grateful to your husband for all he did for your students, such as the special stamped envelope (which I still treasure) from a ship recovering a space capsule in 1964-1965 (the year I was in 4th grade). With prayers that the Lord will give you comfort and peace,

I first worked with Bob in the mid-1960's. We knew he was a first rate journalist, but he was also a kind, generous man. An ABC engineer died suddenly at a young age shortly before Christmas. Bob contributed one hundred dollars to a fundraising drive for his family. Back in the day, hundred dollars was very serious money. My last contact with Bob took place around ten years ago. Bob was in John Kennedy's motorcade in Dallas. I asked Bob if he'd talk with a middle school student on the phone for a school project about the events of that day. Without hesitation, he offered that boy his insights. My heart holds fond memories of a wonderful man. My condolences to Ruth on his passing.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him on ABC's Issues and Answers when I was a fledgling stage manager. He was a consummate professional and lovely man. My sincere condolences!

Bob Clark was was on the best of the old school reporters who was among the first of the ABCNews correspondents.
He was great company and gentleman.

Like many of the "youngsters" who joined ABC in the 1960's, I was the beneficiary of Bob's welcome and wisdom. Fine reporter- exemplary man.
My Best wishes to the Clark family,

Worked with Bob beginning with my first job with ABC Radio in 1964 until my last with GMA in 1983. Bob Clark was a first class journalist and a first class human being...always.

When I first came to ABC news in 1974, Bob Clark was a star. He was on a Sunday broadcast and had spots on the air almost every night. When you watch someone of his caliber you see how it should be done. He was one of the best. My prayers and condolences to the family.
