ROBERT DOBBINS Obituary


ROBERT KELLY DOBBINS  
Passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Bethesda, MD at the age of 41. Robert is survived by his wife, Katherine; daughter, Wilhemina; mother, Sharyn Dobbins; sister, Sarah (Sean) Trombley; niece, Madelyn Trombley; and nephew, Deacon Trombley. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles (Randy) Dobbins. Robert graduated from Columbus State University with a degree in computer science. He married Kate in 2013. After moving to Falls Church, Robert began working for Pikewerks, then Raytheon as a software engineer. The couple welcomed baby Mina into their home in 2015. His family will remember him as a kind, gentle father. Robert was a good-hearted and generous man who loved good food and good company and who was passionate about family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and always knew what to say to make even the worst situations better. He will be greatly missed A memorial is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, December 9 at Falls Church Episcopal Church, with a reception to follow. Pastor Lonnie Brawley will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Robert's life.
