FORREST, REV. ROBERT E. (Age 91)
Died July 23, 2003. He had been a resident of Our Lady of Peace Retirement Home in Charlottesville since 2001. Prior to that he had lived in Hampton, VA since retiring from the ministry of the United Methodist Church in 1978. His wife of 62 years, Anne Lewis Forrest, died in November 2000. He served as pastor of twelve different appointments in the Virginia Conference including Central-Arlington, Trinity-McLean, Fairlington-Alexandria and St. Stephens in Burke. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Foltz of Sterling, son, Robert L. Forrest of Charlottesville and son, David Forrest of Bedford, VA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Hampton, VA by the Rev. Lawerence A. Erbin, pastor and the Rev. David T. Forrest, son of the deceased. Memorial gifts may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 151 Wythe Parkway, Hampton, VA 23661.

I was only 15 when Rev Forrest left St. Stephen's, but his influence on the church and my family greatly molded me. I also enjoyed the UMVIM trip to Russia with Bob and John
