Robert D. Hamill
Robert D. Hamill passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 5, 2022. He is survived by his three children Deborah, Eric, and Yvette; his grandchildren Robert, Stephanie, Aiden, and Connor; as well as his brother Jim Hamill. Bob was 88 years old. Bob was loved and admired by those who knew him. He was an accomplished artist and pianist and maker of fine furniture. He was able to accomplish so much, be a loving husband and father, and a good friend and work colleague at the Census Bureau. He worked hard and with his wife provided very well for his family. We who knew Bob and loved him and were loved by him felt his support without reservation. He was modest himself but encouraged his children to achieve and explore. We will miss him so much. There will be a private memorial service on March 19, 2022. In lieu of flowers we suggest a donation to the Smithsonian, where Bob worked as a docent for twenty years. We will miss Bob Hamill's love and support and hold his memory in our hearts.
