Robert Juza Obituary

Robert "Bob" J. Juza, of Hardy, VA, passed away suddenly, after a brief illness, on Friday March 8, 2024. He was born September 7, 1941, in Kewaunee, WI. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 57 years Donna and his son Robert P. Juza as well as his parents Otto and Johanna Juza, a younger sister Baby Girl Juza and Sister-in-law Dorothy Juza.
He enlisted in the Air Force after graduating from Kewaunee High School in 1959. He married the love of his life, Donna Delebreau, in 1961. While serving 8 years in the Air Force, Bob attended "IBM school" and learned how to operate the then new IBM mainframe computers. He then went to work for the Department of Commerce in Washington DC. After a successful government career, he retired from the Department of Commerce in 1994. After retirement, in order to pass the time, he worked part time delivering auto parts while still living in Woodbridge, VA. He and Donna moved to Bumpass, VA on Lake Anna in 2006, and finally to Hardy, VA, near Smith Mountain Lake in 2016, to be closer to family. He was an active member of Resurrection Catholic Church, where he volunteered for many years with the Tuesday morning group that cared for the church grounds. He also recently started helping with the Eucharistic Ministry. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson, and was an avid, lifelong Green Bay Packer fan. He was a man of few words, but was keenly aware, observant, and remembered everything.
He is survived by his son David "Dave" Juza (Tammy), daughter Barbara "Barb" McCord (Bob); grandchildren Katherine "Katie" Gray (Tyler), Robert "Rob" J. Juza II (Maria), Nicholas "Nick" McCord (Hayley), David M. Juza, Alexander "Alex" McCord, and Michael "Mike" McCord; two great granddaughters Talitha "Tilly" Gray, Ada Gray, and one great grandson to be born in April; two younger brothers, William "Bill" Juza (Linda Johnson) and Kenneth "Ken" Juza (Bonnie), and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Services will be scheduled at a future date.
