Robert Gary Klein Gary (Age 83)

Robert Gary Klein, known as Gary to his friends and family, was born on May 14, 1939, in Washington DC to Katie and Irving Klein. The oldest of four brothers, Gary was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland where he graduated from McDonogh Military High School. Gary then attended the University of Maryland College Park, where he obtained his Engineering degree. There he participated in Gymkana Troupe and won an award as part of the act Barbell Sal and Sam. Gary married his teenage crush Carol Klein in 1961, whom he met when he was 15 years old in 1954. Gary and Carol were married for over 60 years. Gary and Carol had two children, Lori and Jeff. Gary worked as an engineer in the metro Washington, DC area for over 50 years where he managed many projects including the construction of several Washington, DC Metro subway stations, The Senate Office Building, Washington Zoo Monkey House, and Earl B. Wood Middle School. Gary is survived by his Wife Carol; children Lori and Jeff; and three grandsons Sam, Isaac, and Eli.

Funeral Service will be at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD at 1 p.m. with burial at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, VA at 3 p.m. The Family will be sitting Shiva at Carol Klein's home at Leisure World in Silver Spring MD.
