Robert Sher Obituary
SHER ROBERT JAY SHER "Bobby" On Thursday, March 5, 2009, ROBERT "Bobby" SHER, died after a brief illness. He is survived by his daughter, SueEllen Kelly and her husband Jim of Rockville, MD; sons, Brian Sher of Trinidad, CA and Scott Sher and his financee Lauren Kessler of Long Island, NY; former wife and mother of his children, Eileen Roth Sher; brother, Norman Sher and his wife Sandra of Portsmouth, VA; nieces, Jacky Sher Raker and Lynn Sher Cohen. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Alex, Rebecca, Joe and Matt Kelly and Dylan Sher. Bobby was a graduate of the University of Miami, Florida and the University of Virginia Law School and practiced law in both Virginia and Maryland. His greatest pleasure in life was being with his family and watching his grandchildren excel in sports. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 8, 1 p.m., at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb St. N.W., Washington, DC. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bobby's memory may be made to Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, www.bgcgw.org . My sympathy to all of you. I was in the WWHS class of 58 and spoke with Bobby at our 50th reunion. I can still see him running down the football field. He was one of the greatest. My thoughts are with you.
