Ronald Dunn Obituary


RONALD J. DUNN  
Ronald Joseph Dunn passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 with his family by his side. He was born January 18, 1928 in Olean, NY. The devoted son of James C. and Anna Shawley Dunn. He was married on June 12, 1948 to Helen Jackolyn Smith Dunn who predeceased him on April 13, 2010. Of that marriage were born nine children, Julie A. Till (Michael), Debbie L. Dunn, Ronald J. Dunn, Jr. (Pamela), Michael P. Dunn (Robin), Richard J. Dunn (Kathy), Paula J. Moore (John), Diane P. Dunn, Rebecca A. McCasland (David) and Dennis P. Dunn (Lydia); 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a loving brother, Jack Dunn (Pat); sisters-in-law, Josie Dunn and Margie Demaret; many loving nieces and nephews. After over 30 years of government service, he retired from the U.S. Army Audit Agency in 1983. Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD on Monday, January 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 4 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1400 K Street, NW Suite 725, Washington DC, 20005 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
