Rosann Paratore Obituary
ROSANN M. PARATORE (Age 87)
Rosann M. Paratore of Reston, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023. She passed away peacefully while she was surrounded by her family and loved ones. She is the beloved wife of 64 years to Salvatore R. Paratore; loving mother of Carla Vercoe (deceased), S. Andrew Paratore, and Nicolyn A. Paratore (deceased). Cherished daughter of Teresa and Nick Blanco from Frankfort, New York; loving sister to Kay Longe and Francis Blanco. Rosann is the grandmother (Mimi) to Rebecca Metzo, Michael Paratore, and Garrett Vercoe. Rosann graduated from Marywood University in 1957 with a degree in Elementary Education. She was an elementary school teacher in New York State and in Fairfax Virginia. She worked as a teacher for 25 years and retired from Fairfax Public Schools. Rosann had a passion for swimming, tennis, and gardening. Mass will be celebrated at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church in Reston, Virginia on Thursday September 28, 2023, Visitation at 9 a.m., followed by Mass at 10 a.m., with burial at Fairfax Memorial Park at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude.org

Rosann was the most wonderful mother to all of her children. Her marriage to Sal was one for the Story Books. They were inseparable.
I always envied the most loving marriage that to this day I have never seen such loving closeness. They were TRULY AS ONE!
They did everything together. Played tennis together for as long as I can remember at Westwood Country Club where there eldest daughter (Carla) had her Wedding reception.
Their daughter Carla was not only my closest best friend but my sister. Loyal, kind and so so special. After meeting her parents when I was very young it became obvious how she came to be such a Pillar for all to look up to.
Her other siblings, both Andrew and Nicky...they also inherited their goodness from their parents. I know this is a late condolence but it's important that I do memorialize Roseann and her loving husband Sal. The best of the best.
