Rosemary Seawell Obituary

Rosemary Warner Seawell passed away in Menlo Park, CA on October 22, 2024. Rosemary was born October 9, 1947, in Washington, DC. She grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland, graduated from Holton-Arms School in 1965, and received a Bachelor of Arts from Sweet Briar College in 1969. Rosemary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, spending her time supporting her family in any way asked of her. She loved to plan trips with her family, with a focus on creating memories for her children and grandchildren. She especially cherished the family Christmas trips to Hawaii and summer safaris in Africa. Throughout her life, Rosemary was an avid tennis player, biker, and bridge player and valued the many friendships she developed over the years through these activities. She loved supporting all things education, with a special focus on access to STEM education for future generations.
Rosemary is survived by her loving husband Brooke; daughters Kimberly Leatherwood, Pamela Bristol, Rachel Coleman (Bryan) and Kathryn Painter (Christopher); stepsons Brett Seawell and Ryan Seawell (Kristy); grandchildren Matthew, Molly, Owen, Elinor, Madelyn and Walter; and siblings Margaret Warner, Abby Parker Warner, Brainard Henry Warner IV, and Jonathan Warner. A private family viewing was held in Menlo Park, CA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to AmericaShare (https://americashare.org/) in her name.
