Ruby Burrell Obituary
On Tuesday, January 7, 2003. Beloved mother of Joan Tonkins, Eugene, Reginald, Carl and Arthur Burrell; loving sister of George Janifer, Agnes Allen and Lillian Henry. Also survived by 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a host of other relatives and many friends. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 11 at Rankin Chapel, Howard University Campus, 2371 6th St., N.W. Interment Harmony Memorial Park. Services by FREEMAN.

Aunt Ruby, I thought about you today. It is so many years after your passing and I still miss you. Today is February 19 2023 and it has been a long time since you passed away, but I still remember what a sweet lady you were. You were the only person that reminded me of God. I'm sorry you are gone. But the pictures I saw of you today on Facebook cheered me up. I know God loved you so much because he cried so hard today you were buried. I will always love you and hope to see you in heaven when I get there. Love your great niece, Joy.
