Donna Frazier Burrell, 77, of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on the morning of January 8, 2026.
Born on November 17, 1948, Donna was the cherished daughter of the late Lee Roy Frazier and Grace Masters Frazier of
Travelers Rest, South Carolina, where her family roots continue to run deep. From an early age, Donna learned the meaning of faith, hard work, and loving others without condition, lessons she lived out every day of her life.
She was a retired Veterans Administration Nurse whose calling to care for others extended far beyond the walls of any hospital. Her love for The United States of America, and her deep respect for the United States Military led her to ultimately serve at the VA Clinic in
Greenville, South Carolina. There she continued to be a fierce advocate for United States Veterans. There, she was known as a voice for the voiceless, a tireless fighter for those who had sacrificed so much for our country.
Donna was first and always a devoted wife, momma, nannie, sister, auntie, and friend. She dedicated the entirety of her life to the well-being of her family. Always super-supportive, she attended every school function, every ball game, every family gathering, never missing a moment, never missing a chance to show love. After retirement, she was free to fully enjoy her grandchildren. She lovingly and unselfishly dedicated the remainder of her life to ensuring her grandson, Chaddy, has a fulfilled life. Donna helped Chaddy flourish and overcome many obstacles along the way.
Her greatest desire was simple and profound: that her family, her friends, and everyone blessed to know her would live a life filled with peace and love through knowing our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Donna was the very definition of a prayer warrior. If you needed prayer, she was already praying. If you were struggling, she was already calling heaven on your behalf. God truly broke the mold when He made Donna.
Donna is now with her beloved husband, Jimmy Arthur Burrell, an Air Force veteran and her one-and-only, who went to be with the Lord in 1992. Though she carried that loss for more than three decades, Donna never stopped loving him, never stopped honoring him, and never stopped looking forward to the day they would finally be reunited.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Tammy B. Knight and her husband, Damieon English, of Fountain Inn; her son, Chad A. Burrell, and his wife, Brooke Burrell, also of Fountain Inn; and her treasured grandchildren, Caleb Knight, Chad Burrell, Jr., Camryn Knight, Avery Burrell, Carson Marley, and Mason Burrell.
She is also survived by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Sheree and Andrew Stoudenmire II; her nephews, Andrew Stoudenmire III and wife Anna Marie, Micah Stoudenmire and wife Kristen, and Jairus Stoudenmire and wife Courtney; and her adored grand-niece and grand-nephews, Sophia, Levi, Otto, Connor, Silas, and Ryan Stoudenmire.
Donna's life was a living sermon, one of service, sacrifice, loyalty, faith, and unconditional love. Her prayers still echo, her example still guides, and her legacy will live on through every life she touched.
Though we deeply grieve her absence, we rejoice in knowing she is now whole, healed, and home, walking hand-in-hand with Jimmy, and standing in the glorious presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Mountain View Memorial Park,
Travelers Rest, SC.
