Russell Sisler Obituary
Russell Todd Sisler passed away on the morning of May 7, 2025, after a four-year battle with cancer. He was 61 years old.
Todd was an amazing father, showing unwavering love and dedication to the well-being of his son, Taran. He was involved in Scouting for several years and enjoyed camping and guiding young Scouts. He took pride in helping his son achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a local real estate agent for over 30 years, appreciated by many for his kindness, knowledge, skill, and the personal touch he brought to his clients.
Todd had a large circle of friends who enjoyed his humor and his friendly, outgoing nature. He greatly enjoyed taking trips with his close friends to go fly fishing. He was loved by many and is deeply missed.
He is survived by his son, Taran James Schmidt Sisler of Derwood, Maryland, and his sister, Sarah Elaine Sisler of Arizona. He was predeceased by his father, James Alonzo Sisler, his mother, Mary Ellen (Smyth) Sisler, and his brother, Stephen James Sisler.
Service on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Neighborhood Church, 16501 Redland Rd, Rockville, MD 20855. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trout Unlimited at www.tu.org or to Neighborhood Church at neighborhoodc.org.
