I was saddened to read about Ruth's passing away in today's Washington Post. I worked with her in the late 1990s when I had just moved to Washington and hardly knew anyone. She was so good to me and we kept in touch even after we didn't work together. She was so intelligent, kind and hardworking and I loved her sense of humor. She always had interesting stories to tell. Thank you, dear Ruth.
